"Today's launches showcase Nokia's commitment to offer consumers easy-to-use mobile phones in a variety of desirable designs - regardless of cellular technology," explained Kai Oistamo, Senior Vice President, Mobile Phones, Nokia (pictured left), as the Finnish handset giant launched seven new handsets this week - under the heading "Simple Pleasures."
The occasion was the Nokia Connection events in Helsinki and Singapore.
"Whether it features WCDMA, GSM or CDMA internal circuitry, or whether it offers mobile music, mobile photography or 3G services, a handset must be easy to use in order to bring tangible benefits to consumers. Simplicity is the key for technology to enrich peoples' lives," Oistamo continued.
The seven new phones are as follows:

- Nokia 6270: Quadband slide phone featuring a 2-megapixel camera with flash and landscape mode and a built-in music player supporting a variety of digital sound formats such as MP3 and AAC - expected to begin shipping in the fourth quarter of 2005.
