Digg This!
Google is breathing down Microsoft's neck again. It has beta-launched Google Page Creator, which it describes as 'a free online tool that makes it easy for anyone to create and publish useful, attractive web pages in just minutes.' In other words: bye bye Microsoft FrontPage!
Although it is still an early beta release, what the company calls "an early testing phase," Google Page Creator is proving so popular that the download site currently displays the following message:
"Thank you for your interest in Google Page Creator! Google Page Creator has experienced extremely strong demand, and, as a result, we have temporarily limited the number of new signups as we increase capacity. In the meantime, please submit your email address and we will notify you as soon as we are ready to add new accounts. Thank you for your patience."
Google Page Creator lets the user e
dit your pages right in your browser, seeing exactly how your finished product will look every step along the way. Needless to say, it's based on AJAX.
