Fiorano's SOA Messaging Part of NASA Deep Space Network Program
Jet Propulsion Laboratory?s Messaging Infrastructure Based on Fiorano SOA Software

Digg This!

Fiorano Software Inc., a leading provider of business integration and SOA-ESB middleware solutions, has announced that NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has selected Fiorano MQ as its messaging infrastructure for implementation of its Deep Space Network program.

Fiorano MQ will provide superior messaging technology for Deep Space Network program’s messaging infrastructure capability, an international network of antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions and radio and radar astronomy observations for the exploration of the solar system and the Universe.

The Deep Space Network [DSN] supports selected Earth-orbiting missions and the Mars rover program and currently consists of three deep-space communications facilities placed approximately 120 degrees apart around the world: at Goldstone, in California’s Mojave Desert, Spain and Australia. This strategic placement permits constant observation of spacecraft as the Earth rotates, and helps make the DSN the largest and most sensitive scientific telecommunications system in the world.

"NASA chose Fiorano after an intensive due-diligence process lasting nearly two years, covering a demanding set of parameters of technology requirements," said Atul Saini (pictured), CEO and CTO of Fiorano.

Referring to Fiorano’s decade-long history of leading middleware products, he added "This is a significant win for us, and importantly, an endorsement of Fiorano’s ability to deliver enterprise-class leading performance and stability. We have more experience in the messaging industry than anyone else, now having released our 8th version of this software technology that supports High Availability (HA), Content Based Routing (CBR) and Scalable Connection Management (SCM)."
